Neighborhood
This property is river front on the South Fork of the Stillaguamish River with access right out your back door. You can hike along the rivers edge, or wade and swim when conditions permit. There are also numerous hikes and excursions right from your front door. Lake 22, Mt Pilchuck Fire lookout, Gothic Basin, Mt Dickerman, Heather Lake, Robe trail, Lime Kiln Trail, Heather Lake and the ghost town of Monte Cristo are all in your neighborhood! We are located just down from the Rusty Bridge and on the Stilly River. Situated just below Mt. Pilchuck and Heather Lake. We are in a community of cabins within the USDA forest service area. It's a little rustic in our neighborhood. There is a mix of vacation cabins and permanent residences. We have very low crime in our zone, and most folks keep to themselves. This is an all inclusive space and very welcoming. Don't be surprised if someone goes by and gives you a friendly wave. Many locals have helped with our restoration and creation here, and folks look out for each other in the Verlot community. You are in a welcome place :)
Notes
We want to ensure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Please review the following information prior to booking your stay :) 1) All your information for directions, check-in, house information, codes, check-out instructions will be available on the app post booking. 2) DOGS: If you plan to bring your furry friend, we welcome them with open arms and have a maximum of two dogs allowed per stay with a fee of $25 per pup per night. No cats are allowed. To avoid any confusion, please include your dog in the reservation. Please note that we kindly ask you to not allow dogs on the furniture, beds, or in the sleeping loft. Note: The pet fee is not included in your booking. To cover the cost, It will be added separately when you confirm your reservation as an alteration request. Kindly accept it when you can. 3) Closest gas, grocery, outfitters, firewood, restaurants, coffee, and bars is 15 minutes to the West in Granite Falls Washington. You should find everything you need there. We strive to accommodate all our guests' needs, so please feel free to let us know if you have any special requests or requirements. We can't wait to host you and make your stay unforgettable! :)

So first and foremost, the cabin is very cozy, in a beautiful location right on the river and we genuinely had a really good time. With that said, if you are over 5'8", the upstairs of this cabin is a genuine hazard. The low, slanted A-frame ceiling was a literal and metaphorical headache. Going to the bathroom at night, I bonked the absolute crap out of my head 3 times in the span of 3 nights. Genuinely thought I was concussed after one of them. Once I learned my lesson and walked with my hands out in front of me at night in the master bedroom, I smacked the *#%@ out of my head in the hallway. It might be funny looking back at it, but I was in serious pain and couldn't really sleep that night. Secondly, I highly recommend anyone staying here to bring their own sponge to wash dishes. We were left with 1/3 of a sponge (small square piece cut from a bigger sponge - with no scrubbing side on the back) and a small rag for scrubbing. Overall I do still recommend this place a lot.

This little cabin was well appointed, cozy and has a great location. The backyard is well thought out, private and bonus, the hot tub with views of the river was under a covered area, which is nice when it’s raining! Lots of trails close by and while there is no cell service, the WiFi worked great! We appreciated the comfortable beds and furnishings, tons of firewood and a very functional kitchen with all the basics provided. Great communication and friendliness from the hosts. Highly recommend this place and we look forward to coming back!

We came for our anniversary trip and it could not have been more perfect! This adorable cottage on the river truly made us feel like we were in a movie. We made a fire, grilled steaks, watched movies, played games, and relaxed in the hot tub overlooking the river, it was incredible. The backyard is fully fenced in which was amazing for our puppy. The bed was comfy and the kitchen was fully stocked with all you would need to cook an amazing meal. I’d love to stay here again, it was so peaceful and beautiful!
